The AIQUSEC Project: Revolutionizing Cybersecurity with AI Innovations
Nowadays, it’s no secret that artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming industries. At SSH Communications Security, we’re not just keeping up with the trends–but instead we’re actively driving progress in cybersecurity.
Leading this shift is the AI-Based Quantum-Secure Cybersecurity Automation and Orchestration in the Edge Intelligence of Future Networks (AIQUSEC) project, an innovative project in which our company is involved.
As AI continues to evolve at lightning speed, we are tapping into its full potential to create smarter, more adaptive cybersecurity solutions. Jussi Löppönen, Solution Architect AI & Cloud at SSH, has been very important in this journey, and his insights offer a glimpse into the future of AI at SSH.
“The first thing in AIQUSEC was that we researched this large language model as a side product,” Jussi shares. “It wasn’t our main purpose, but we quickly realized the cloud-hosted large language models (LLMs) could be used to answer user questions related to our products. We then researched the technology more deeply, and that’s how we came across Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).”

Discovering the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs)
The impact of this innovation is game-changing. With RAG, our team found a way to enhance AI’s capabilities by integrating it with company-specific data. By using vector databases and vector technology, SSH can pull relevant pieces of documentation and feed them to the LLMs.
The result? Precise, accurate responses based on proprietary information, reducing the need for human intervention by over 90%. “It’s pretty cool,” says Jussi, “and we could use that in customer interfaces, on webpages, or even within our products.”
“We can use this in customer interfaces, on websites, or even within our products.” Imagine interacting with a smart assistant that not only understands your questions but also provides tailored answers based on SSH’s unique offerings.
As we move forward with the AIQUSEC project, we’re not just keeping up with changes in cybersecurity; we’re helping to shape its future. By combining advanced AI with our focus on secure technology, we’re creating new solutions that are ready for tomorrow's challenges.
Stay tuned for more updates as we share our progress and exciting discoveries. At SSH Communications Security, we’re dedicated to pushing the limits of what’s possible, making sure our customers have the best tools to face the future of cybersecurity.
The AIQUSEC project is part of the Nokia II Veturi program, and the Digital Trust Program supported by Business Finland.
