SSH Expands NQX Solution to Data Centers with High-Bandwidth, Quantum-Safe Connections for Verne

Helsinki, Finland - February 19, 2025 - SSH Communications Security (SSH) expands to critical data center operations with the NQX high-performance, quantum-safe encryption solution by welcoming Verne, the leading provider of sustainably powered HPC data centers across the Nordics as a new customer.

In response to a specific customer demand, Verne sought a versatile solution that met stringent security standards while ensuring uncompromised data transfer security. High performance and low latency were also key priorities. The NQX does not only meet these requirements but also delivers transmission speeds up to six times faster than competing products when quantum-safe encryption is enabled.

“We look forward to serving leading data center companies by securing data transmission with exceptional performance. NQX’s unique combination of uncompromising security and high-performance stems from the rigorous demands of the defence sector. As a future-proof, crypto-agile solution, NQX provides customers with the flexibility to adopt the latest quantum-safe encryption algorithms as they emerge and seamlessly integrate classical and quantum-safe encryption side-by-side, all without requiring massive hardware investments”, states Rami Raulas, CEO of SSH.

The solution enables Verne to implement a secure and compliant network of connections for the customer without compromising performance or user experience, even with the most advanced encryption technologies. The NQX solution scales up to speeds of 100 Gbs, while ensuring high service availability and resilience even under large-scale Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.

“With the NQX solution, we are able to offer our managed private cloud customers more advanced solutions to protect their connections and more importantly data. We can securely embed customer data inside a quantum-safe tunnel, ensuring high bandwidth for protecting critical transmissions against cyber threats. Additionally, NQX operates at lower levels in the OSI model, including the data link layer (Layer 2) and the network layer (Layer 3), making it significantly harder for adversaries to capture data in transit”, states Kim Gunnelius, Head of Finland from Verne.
