Helsinki, Finland – July 03, 2019 – SSH.COM and Tech Mahindra today announced a partnership to promote and implement SSH’s industry-leading products at large enterprises and financial firms.

Scope of the Partnership

The scope of partnership covers the full SSH.COM product portfolio but focuses mainly on two key offerings:

Universal SSH Key Manager® (UKM), SSH.COM’s industry-leading SSH Key management suite that is already deployed by several of the largest financial and retail companies in the world.
PrivX®, SSH.COM’s innovative, next-generation Privileged Access Management solution that is perfectly suited to today’s modern IT infrastructure of on-premise, public/private cloud, DevOps & containerized environments.

Key Use Cases

UKM is unique in being able to simultaneously manage, deploy, and rotate authentication keys in large scale secure shell environments. UKM is the perfect complement to a PAM deployment, especially in regulated industries and mission critical applications as it brings new capabilities to controlling automated M2M connections which current key vaulting based solutions do not adequately address and it can stop power users from bypassing the PAM system with SSH keys.

As noted in a recent Executive View Report by KuppingerCole, PrivX is a unique alternative to standard password vaulting and session management approaches, as the solution can act as both a replacement of other Privileged Access Management (PAM) approaches and a complementary technology that is used for specific PAM requirements, particularly in agile IT environments such as DevOps environments.

Projects Already in Progress

First joint customer projects are already in process and the companies have joint customer relationships in the financial and technology segments.

The first joint large-scale delivery already underway is to one of the largest European semiconductor chip makers which plans to use UKM to supplement and provide an additional layer of security on top of its existing password vaulting system that is unable to protect automated machine-to-machine connections. With UKM, the customer can regain control over and confidence in the M2M connections and be assured of security and compliance in a critical part of its operation.
